Directions to Stadium:
From I-380 southbound - exit at 1st Ave. west. Go west to 15th Street and turn left.
Stadium is two blocks on left.

From I-380 northbound - exit at Wilson Ave and turn left. Follow Wilson Ave to Rockford Road and turn right. Stadium is 1 mile on left.

Veterans Memorial Stadium Information

ADMISSION TIME: Gates open one hour before game time.

ANIMALS: Animals are not allowed in the ballpark, with the exception of special events and service animals.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: Announcements will be made over the public address system for a fee of $1 that will be donated to a charity. Messages for the Rockwell-Collins GameLink must be submitted no later than noon of the requested date. All birthday, anniversary or group announcements must be turned into the ImOn Communications Guest Services Center and will be read around the 6th inning. Ushers are not allowed to provide this service.

NATIONAL ANTHEM SINGERS: A limited number of dats are available to sing the National Anthem. Please contact Sonya Masse (sonya@kernels.com) at 896-7617 for available anthem dates. An audition tape may be requested, but is not required.

ATM: An ATM machine is located on the main concourse near the Bimm Ridder Diamond Store.

AUTOGRAPHS: A minimum of two players will be available to sign autographs at the Ladco Autograph Booth every home game. Fans may ask for autographs before and after games, but not during the game.

BIMM RIDDER DIAMOND STORE: The Bimm Ridder Diamond Store is located at the third base end of the concourse. There are entrances from outside and inside the stadium. The Diamond Store features a wide variety of Kernels items including clothing (T-shirts, sweatshirts, etc.), and souvenir items (pennants, caps, helmets, bobble head dolls, cards, etc.). The Bimm Ridder Diamond Store is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday thru Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays on non-game days. Game day hours are 10 a.m. until one hour prior to gates opening and one-half hour after the conclusion of a game.

BROADCASTS: All home and away Cedar Rapids Kernels games can be heard on 1450 KMRY AM or on the Internet at www.kernels.com.

CARRY-IN ITEMS: No cans, bottles, alcoholic beverages (botas or wine skins) or food is permitted to be brought into the stadium. Exceptions are baby food or snacks for young children.

CONCESSIONS: There are five concession stands located on the concourse level.

CREDIT CARDS: We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express cards for tickets, souvenirs and Diamond Suite food orders. Credit cards are accepted at the concession stands.

DRINKING FOUNTAINS: Five drinking fountain locations are on the concourse level, and one location on the Miller Mezzanine Terrace.

ELEVATORS: The only elevator available to the public at Veterans Memorial Stadium is located at the rear of the concourse behind home plate. The elevator is available for disabled access, suite holders and members of the media. NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE ELEVATORS WITHOUT THE APPROPRIATE TICKET OR PASS.

EMERGENCY PHONE SERVICE: Emergency phone service is available at the ImOn Communications Guest Services Center.

FIRST AID: Fans in need of medical attention should inform a police officer, Kernels staff member or usher immediately. The First Aid Station is on the concourse level on the first base side of home plate.

FOUL BALLS: Fans may keep foul balls that land in the seated areas. Show the ball at the ImOn Communications Guest Services Center and receive a lifetime honorary Kernels contract from Zio Johno’s. The ball club assumes no liability for injuries incurred as a result of objects leaving the playing field.

DISABLED SEATING: Seating for fans who are disabled is available in Club and Plaza sections. Seating for fans who are disabled is also available in the Miller Mezzanine Terrace. Most of the seating is located along the main concourse. Devices for the hearing impaired are available at the ImOn Communications Guest Services center - these receive everything broadcast throught our PA system including music, announcments and on-field contests.

HOME RUN HOT TUB: The Home Run Hot Tub is located in left field and is accessible via the Randy Kuehl Honfidence Pavilion. Visit the information desk at Westdale Mall to sign up for a chance to win tickets for the Home Run Hot Tub sponsored by Westdale Mall and WMT Mix 96.5 FM.

INFORMATION BOOTH: The ImOn Guest Services Center is located at the third base end of the concourse near the Bimm Ridder Diamond Store. This is a catch-all area for lost and found items (including parents and children), contest entries, messages, etc.

LAWN CHAIRS: Lawn chairs are not permitted.

ROCKWELL COLLINS GAMELINK: Celebrate your special occasion with an announcment on the Rockwell Collins GameLink, our 16' x 24' LED video board. All messages for the Rockwell-Collins GameLink must be submitted to Andrew Pantini (andy@kernels.com) no later than noon of the requested date. A small fee will apply. Stop by the ImOn Guest Services center for more information.

MASCOT APPEARANCES: Mr. Shucks, the Kernels mascot, is available for appearances. Contact Sonya Masse (sonya@kernels.com) at 896-7617 for more information.

NO ALCOHOL SEATING: Rows T-V in section 118 (club seats) are designated no alcohol seats.

PARKING: There are two main lots for fan parking. The upper lot is located between the football and baseball stadiums. The lower lot is to the south of the football stadium. Parking for fans who are disabled is available in the upper lot.

PLAYER APPEARANCES: Kernel players are available for appearances during the regular season (April thru September) when the team is home. Contact Sonya Masse (sonya@kernels.com) at 896-7617 for more information.

PRESS BOX: The press box is located on the upper level behind home plate. Only those with proper media credentials will be allowed in the press box. Those requesting full season and individual game media credentials (including photographers) should contact Andrew Pantini (andy@kernels.com) at 896-7601.

RAIN CHECKS: If a game is postponed because of poor weather, ticket holders may exchange their ticket for one of equal value for any game, subject to availability.

RESTROOMS: There are five men’s and five women’s restrooms located on the main concourse level. There also are men’s and women’s restrooms on the Mezzanine Terrace, and men’s and women’s restrooms for suite holders. Infant changing tables are available in each restroom. There is also family restroom located in the ice cream stand on the third base side of the main concourse.

SCHEDULES: Pocket schedules are available at the ImOn Communications Guest Services Center, Bimm Ridder Diamond Store, Ticket Office and main office. Pocket schedules are also distributed at various locations around eastern Iowa.

STAIRWELLS: Stairwells are located at each end of the concourse. The stairwell on the third base end is NOT OPEN to the public. The first base side stairwell is open for fans holding mezzanine and/or suite tickets, and media members.

TELEVISIONS: There are seven televisions located along the concourse. Game action (when available) will be broadcast live on the televisions.

WILL CALL: The will call window is located at the main gate.
