MWL First Half Standings

May 8, 2008 – The Cedar Rapids Kernels were held to a run on just two hits by Wisconsin starter Donnie Hume as the Timber Rattlers took the first of a four game series, 7-1, at Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton on Friday.

Hume (4-0) gave up a solo home run to Anel De Los Santos in the third inning and a double to Andrew Romine in the first inning and that was all the hits the Kernels could muster. Hume struck out seven and walked none over six innings. Phillippe Aumont pitched three innings and struck out five to notch his second save. (more)
