The Cedar Rapids Kernels are pleased to announce that 1450 KMRY will be the home of Kernels baseball on the radio through the end of the 2008 season. The dean of Midwest League broadcasters, John Rodgers, will provide the play-by-play action for his 13th consecutive season.
KMRY will broadcast all of the Kernels 140 games in 2008. All 140 games will also be available live via the internet through the Kernels’ website at www.kernels.com. Internet listeners should notice an improvement in streaming quality this season as KMRY will provide a direct-to-internet feed of the broadcast.
The Kernels have also teamed up with Minor League Baseball to stream the games over the internet. The games are available free of charge, but listeners must register with MiLB.com in order to listed. Click on the MiLB logo to listen live to Kernels baseball!
